@Rakesh By snubbing Marathi lobby, Sachin proved his credentials as Indian. Dhoni ko captan banao, woh dholage opposition ko. They wanted to play politics and show that they made him Captain. He is an icon and will stand above all players all the time.

sharad pawar wants sachin's help to win next elections so he is pleasing him with captaincy.. later he will use him at his political rallies...
its all politics in BCCI and therefore it reflects in cricketers also...

Where is Marathi lobby.People like you make too much of polictics. Had it been such case, you would have seen many people from west in mumbai team.It is not so inspite of Mumbai being national champions.Grow up man
