if adam gilchrist uses squash ball for girp in the gloves, does icc rules permit to use such things for extra grip, if permits its ok, otherwise he should be punished. but i think ICC rules doesnt have any rules to take such action, if they have they would had made a statement till now. batting grip is very important for any batsmens but they should be under law, but as far as i am concerned gilchrist did a wrong thing.

dude man,
rule says do not carry any object which is not meant to be a protection gear... but there is nothing written abt extra grip material.. ofcourse he played amazing innings.. but this issue will hurt him all through his life.

In rules there is nothing written that for Grip they can use any additional object. they allowed grip on the bat handle only. Additional protection wear is allowed to protect themselves. ICC dont make statement cos the player is from AUS. If any Indian, PAK or SL did this then they make huge cry on us. Gilchrist has to inform on field umpires b4 the match begins or he shud keep quite.. But i am still no idea how can squash ball helps a batsmen with better grip?
