Ganguly- The Culprit
by Iam on Mar 30, 2007 06:26 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

There are so many post mortems why INDIA is out of world cup....
As per me the main culprit is Mr. GANGULY
Because of him we lost the match against Bangladesh.....how ?
He was there on the crease for around 35 overs.
Though everybody know Bangladesh has only 2 good bowlers. So after first bowling change..the spinner came into attack. Everybody knows what is the quality of spin of Bangladesh...but or so called great Ganguly played complete under pressure..he never though of attacking the spinner and desturbing their line and lenght. If he has attack once , thern definately INDIA was supposed in better condition.
He even dont bother to take singles...because of this pressure build on batsman lower the order.
Against Srilanka, when singles were required, he played foolish shot in air and thrown his wicket.

So in what ways he deserves the warm welcome.
He played complete selfish game..making 50 in 130 balls..

Sometimes I doubt he purposefully played like this to regain the captaincy back..

but dont worry..peoples are wise enough Mr Ganguly..they understood your game plans

WOW, this is really fabulous. There is a saying Bengali "Sab beta ke chere oei beta ke dhor" --> meaning if there is problem leave everyone and get that one, here the one is obviously Ganguly. He is really an interesting character, fail or succeed, win or lose he is not ignored. He get brickbats if he scores runs he gets brickbats if he doesn't score. He gets brickbats for not being able to get into the team and also for getting into it. I presume you guys are getting the idea of the saying. It really suits Ganguly well. A ready made reason for all to vent anger, frustration and blame. Always available. Not to mention the other past time curse Bengalis. Not bad eh.

MR. LAM

I think you are great folish. If Ganguly not stay in ground, India should finish within 100 runs. Are you friend of MORE, DUNGAPUR OR BEDI? I love cricket, so i not found any DOUBT in Ganguly playing style against Bangladesh.

Gautam,
Think other way round had ganguly scored another 25 runs in 129 balls India would have won the match. Think seriously.

You are talking about quality of bangla spinners, the same Bangla spinners took wicktes of our GREAT TENDULKAR & THE WALL DRAVID. Is Ganguly only responsible to score runs? What about 10dulkar & Dravid? You fool have you played cricket ever?

Yes i got that feeling too.

In any case captaincy now go to Tendulkar, as i feel he has got some cricket left with him.

He should built a young team and should lead india to many more victories.

enough for ganguly he has captained many odi and next only to Azhar.

so dada should play like Gilly(Gilchrist) and retire.

It is okay to play against tendulkar as he is senior and most respected in the cricket world.

Hey man, u r totally wrong. Cricket is not a one man game. If u r telling about Bangladesh match, Ganguly was the only batsman who spend on the crease whereas others r like cat.please dont blame Ganguly and try to stop this.
