Hi guys it seems a lot of people seem to think India did not qualify to the Super 8s for Ganguly alone. There were 6 more batsmen. All are to blame. Give credit where its due, he did perform when under tremendous pressure on his return. He is fighter lets give him that. I presume quite a few players can be given the Ganguly treatment and see how things goes from there.

One thing we have to understand. Why Ganguly? Before even answering this i will tell you he is a superb player, his come back is very good, his exclusion from team is stupid, but... we need a flying start in important tournament , because in world cup event every team will come with new strategy and with new ball you can do some swings and take wickets.
thats why all the team has very good batsmen as opener. so Ganguly is one of a great striker of the ball. thats why expectation on ganguly is high and he did not played is natural game.
but given who performed it is definitely Ganguly,even captaincy should go to either Tendulkar or Ganguly. No Dravid or Yuvraj(he is too young to handle now)
