i havent seen prasanna bowl but definitely over the last 20 yrs australia and england have become much better players of spin bowling. when prasanna used to play spin bowling was in its infancy and batsmen had just started to adapt to it. I am sure that if the quartet played today they will take less than half of the wickets they took against aus and england..West Indies is a different story all together.. He has no right in telling murali is not a great off spinner with the tremondous success he has achieved.

Sorry. Spin bowling is as old as cricket. There were other great offspinners before Prasanna. One example is Laker. I cant think of others offhand. England don't play spin well. They are getting away with their improved bats. As regards Australia, they were always weak against good offspin. I don't know what you know of the history of cricket. Prasanna played in the 1960s and 70s. Test cricket is being played since 1877. The googly was invented in 1895. If spin was in its infancy in the 1960s and 70s, it took a long time growing up.
