We Indians never know what exactly we want. And it same in Cricket as well. All of us want Sachin to win matches every time and it is not possible. He may be a failure some times but still India won at those times. It was couple of months ago honi was targetted for his poor prformance and his Modelling and Advertisements. Now he is playing ( Never knew till how long ) but still this may be his come back. Some of us are saying Sachin should be dropped. Is it right to say that ? Even if he is dropped from the squad it will be same people saying that Sachin should be brought back and same case with Sehwag. It is good give out our opinion and some many may not read this. But I sincerley request people who all participated in this forum to say some thing about Star News Channel who always change their comments depending on India%u2019s success. If we people can say that what they say about our players is wrong then I appreciate all.

Sachin is fine, he proves himself worthy time and again.
But i disagree for Sehwag. He has not given one good performance for far too many matches now. I don't think anybody has ever got these many chances with poor performance before.
In my opinion, he should not play world cup and back out himself.

Dude, he has been given too many chances no doubt but don't forget India is no Australia where if one player is dropped there are atleast 5 competent players fighting to occupy that place. There are not many players as aggressive, capable of destroying the opposition as Sehwag in the world. Bowlers feel the fear in the presence of Sehwag at the top of the batting order. He also gives the bowling option and if he clicks with the bat we know how effective he can be. The team management is taking a chance carrying him to carribean. Let's hope he clicks.

I believe Raina, Kaif or Gautam Gambhir may do a better job.
You cannot keep a player as he creates fear amongst bowler. What fear will he create when he cannot stand there for more than 1 - 2 overs judjing by recent performances.
TAKING CHANCES, is it the best approach for a tournament like world cup. NOT according to me. You should keep your best foot forward based on present best choices not on past performance or HOPES that a non-performer will suddenly perform.

But remember one thing when sehwag was introduced no body knew that he would be so good at striking the ball. He was given a chance thats means some one was dropped at that time. we dont want sehwag to be dropped but we want sehwag to read this dicussion and more articles fovouring him so that he can perform and improve more his batting skills.

There is no question that he is perhaps the best striker of the ball, the power he unleashes is phenomenal, but whats that gonna do when you get out cheaply. He had been given far too many chances and if he has any self-respect and shame, he should bow out of the team and open door for someone like, Raina, Gambhir or Kaif.

Faiz,
Look at his test record, he averages 50 and has been among the most consistent player probably after Dravid since 2002. Based on that performance doesn't he deserve that chance ahead of Raina, Gambhir or Kaif and remember on his day sehwag can destroy the likes of McGrath, Pollock, Brett Lee etc which Kaif, Raina or Gambhir will be never be able to.

What do you think mate, sehwag himself is happy with his own present performance. iam sure every time he goes to bat he thinks that it will be his come back. And people sitting and watching him thinks the same. But unfortunately it is not happening. But that doesnt mean that he should feel ashamed of. He is not involved in any match fixing or anything like that for he feel ashamed of. Forget about dropping him from the squad but think about playing him on and off so that he reads the opposition and at the same time we may get new player when Sehwag is not playing one or two matches. But dropping him off is something should not be recommended.

Yes is true that Sehwag%u2019s performance is not that good. But he needs only one big match for the come back. Of course it is not good to give so many chances for that match, who never knew when it comes but he has got the potential and he is good striker of the ball and there is no other player who can replace him atleast for now.

May be good in one and then bad again in 10, Is that what we want. Anyway, when that 1 good match will come also, no one knows.
You really seem to like Sehwag, Wake-up, I wish he had regained form and performing now rather than being given a chance to regain form in the world cup.

Every one knows that he is been a failure. But we should also know that the management also knows that and aware of it. But still he is been chances, that means the managment, captain and coach have some ideas for him. After all it is their jobs are stake as well if some goes wrong...

I think management, rahul etc. do not want to part with him. I don't know why ? If there was a plan for him it should have better succeeded by now as it;s not that he has failed today, he has been failing for a while now. If the plan is not successful, show him the door and if he has it in him, let him prove that, the way sourav did.
We will welcome him back, the way Sourav was welcomed, but SHOW US WHAT U GOT

If Raina is thought about as a substitute for Sehwag, then selecyors have done the right thing by including Sehwag...Even if he gets out cheaply he will not waste balls and can more often hit boundaries and over boundaries which Raina cannot. I really don't know why we are always talking of someone's inclusion (Raina) when it is proven he is not fit for international cricket....
