India lost to Sri Lanka
by Kishore Lahiry on Feb 11, 2007 10:16 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

It is nice to see Sri Lanka, without their two main attacks - Vaas and Murali, has won. It was a batting track so no surprise that Sri Lanka offered a total of 257 runs to chase rather it is credit to India to restrict them within this total.

But the unfortunate part is that no Indian batsman could survive till end of the game. Being a big fan of Sourav and Sachin I muct say that they are jointly the culprits of today's match. Sachin has found his golden touch but he failed to read the spinner. Sourav, being in the peak of his batting form, made a silly mistake and touched the ball standing at his crease. No foot movement. He wanted to glide the ball which was far outside his off stump and he could have easily let it go. However, our hopes should see this match once again in video and polish themselves. It was really unfortunate to see Sehbag in this poor form. He should play freely once again and he will be back amidst runs once again. May be the doubt whether he would be selected or not is playing in his mind and has curbed his natural shots. However, it is not the end but a caution. Men in Blues please come forward.

All the best

Mr Kishore,
Since how long have you been playing international cricket. You seem to be an expert in what to do and what not to. I think India should send all these "rediff" based experts to the world cup instead of the regular 15 or 16
