I am with Vengy on this issue. If BCCI wants professionals to continue, they must compensate selection committe. This is historic. Because so far, BCCI doesn't pay anything to its selection comitte. But, recently BCCI denied earnings from other sources as well. Vengy did right thing. He showed his willingness to give up his earnings from other sources provided BCCI does this. After all, BCCI can't afford unprofessional selectors.
As far as Dravid being dropped, fans are over- reacting. Vengy clearly said that he was only rested and was not dropped. rediff.com/cricket/2007/oct/27team.htm
Media and fans please stop spreading mis-information.

A selector should have no vested interests. Vengy writing columns promoted by the same agents who also promote some of the players, shows conflict of interest, Also Vengy as a selector shouldn't invite all the cricket players to his wife's jewellery store. If he needs to show he is an unbiased selector stop writing columns and don't drag players to your wife's jewellery store..

Agreed. So, if you want to have a true professional on the job, you must pay him. He was writing columns before joining BCCI and BCCI has only recently introduced this guideline. So, he has all rights to ask for compensation. I really don't know anything about the jewellary shop event. So, no comments!

That's true. BCCI needs to be professional. Pawar should appoint a CEO as per his promise before getting elected.
