I beleive that modern day cricket needs a coach for every team.The captain and his wards need to only worry about their fitness and basic game.the intelligence , the pros and cons of facing the opposition,the strengths and weaknesses of each member of the opposition,the ground conditions,the basic strategies should be outsourced to the Coach of the team.
The coach should take the initiative to formulize the off-field strategy,chalk out plans A,B and C and then mould a team together from the out fit given.The execution of course is the responsibility of the captain and his 10 Commandos.
I am okay with either a foreign coach or an Indian coach as long as he fulfills the above criteria.

Well said. I vote for the foreign coach. Indian Coaches may find it hard to deal with our 'Superstars'.
