After jonty rodhes retired from ODI, he expressed his interest to coach (fielding) india. BCCI didnt consider him. Similarly after retiring wasim Akram also expressed his interest to coach(bowling) india. For this Also there is no comments from BCCI. After bring two minnows to super powers Whatmore expressed his interst in coaching india, but for this also BCCI rejected his offer and placed county coach Ford as Indian coach. Now above all this we have V.Prasad who has no records or achievements in his career as bowling coach, robin singh who just falls on the field when the ball crosses him (when no body dives or falls then he will be considered as hero) as fielding coach, then a coach who has no international exp is appointed as Team coach. I dono what to do with this BCCI. I dono whether BCCI paying them or they are paying BCCI for appointing them as coach

Jonty and Wasim when they expressed their interest in coaching India , even they did not have any experience in coaching . With Jonty's presence , SA hasn't improved much in fielding. The stats of a player do not contribute as a coach to a team's improvement. Even Ford had coached SA during their peak . But it is still a big surprise to pick Kirsten as coach of India without much of coaching experience . Since experienced coaches like Greg chappell had not achieved much with indian , this must be an experiment . A big gamble , we have to wait and see the outcome.
