How to make India world-beaters ?
by Bhaskar S Nair on Oct 31, 2006 02:18 PM   Permalink

Let's begin from the opening position

Sehwag -Needs to be told what exactly is the difference between a good player and a great player. More commitment is required from him when it comes to crunch games.

Tendulkar -He is not able to withstand the pressure from good bowlers of late. He needs to go back to his old aggressive approach especially against oppositions like Australia and South Africa. His record against these two oppositions has not been good of late especially against Lee,McGrath and Shaun Pollock. Needs to be aggressive all the time against these bowlers.

Dinesh Mongia -He should be given chances consistently to prove his mettle. Bowling looks good but still there is scope for improvement in his fielding.

Dravid -Looks really good in his batting. He should try to stay till the end and ask others to do a bit of hammering. He is a captian with bright future. He should communicate with his players especially on the field.

Yuvraj -Bit rusty from last year. Needs to get back to form soon. He is no short on confidence now.

Raina -Should read the situation and play accordingly. He should be given chances up the order.

Dhoni -Develop more on his technique
