Was it right to send Irfan Back
by Sav on Dec 26, 2006 03:30 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

If we take this step positively then it is a good move to send a player back home who is out of form and being the WC in next couple of months so that he can do some good practice and make himself available before the WC. But if Wasim doesnt perform now he should also be sent back cos there should not be any Partiality with any Player. I have lots of faith in Vengsarkar but not in Chapell or Dravid(sorry to say that).

Dear Sav,
Yr faith in Vengasarkar is misplaced. He is symbol of nepotism interested only in promoting his protege Wasim Jaffer whom he had coached in his cricket academy. That is why Jaffer was selected despite flopping in Challenger Trophy and Gautam Gambhir was dropped from one day team despite excellent performance.
Again despite flopping totally in S.A. Jaffer is still being played and Gambhir is dropped. Both Jaffer and Vengasarkar should be sent back to India
