Very apt article....as usual the old maladies of our culture has surfaced. By ignoring a problem, or wishing that it wasnt there does not make it go away. The committee had a chance to set it right, but blew it! The crux of the issue is not that Chappel hasnt proven his coaching capabilities yet, but that Ganguly has proven without any doubt that he is not worthy of his place in the team. Is Chappell right for Indian cricket? Only Time can tell. Is the current Ganguly holding on to a spot in the team right for Indian cricket? Time has already proven this.
The "wise men" have stated that performance will be the deciding factor.....hasnt performance already decided Gangulys fate? Someday, when Ganguly walks on to a field with his walking stick to bid goodbye to cricket, I will be a fan of Indian cricket again.....
