Cricket vs. Dalmiya
by Jimmy Noronha on Sep 27, 2005 08:44 PM   Permalink

Sir,

The article of Prem Panicker is interesting indeed.

The problem with Indian cricket is that the vast majority of the cricket lovers in India are very passive and would not mind what is going on in the inner circle. No doubt then, that the likes of Dalmiya have become huge Colossus, and the cricket 'premis' are just treated like underlings as they take it as it comes, by being mute, it is these mute cricket lovers have turned themselves into a fodder to feed the likes of Dalmiya and the likes of him. If Ganguly is today what he is as a cricketer, it is only because of the mute support that he enjoys, from the likes of Dalmiya. Kick Dalmiya out and no doubt you will see the 'Team India' fit to beat any team in the world, and keep the likes of Chappel as his ways are the ones which are a must to ignite the sagging spirit of the Indian cricket team.
