Picking Saurav is a step back

Waqar Younis says, "India needs to think like the Australian selection Committee". My dear Waqar, if Indian would be able to think like the Australians, than Australia would be number 2 and we would have been number 1. Also, I think putting Ganguly in a team is a lot beneficial to the Indian side. Consider the experienced Indian team and the not-so experienced Pakistani team. Indians with Tendulkar, Dravid, Ganguly, Sehwag, Kumble, Agarkar, Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh, and Zaheer Khan mark the calander of the experienced players and experienced youngsters in the team who all have played some astonishing Cricket against Pakistan. Pakistan just has Inzi, Mohd. Yusuf, Younis Khan, Afridi and Akhtar to back up the list of experiency. So, the question does not arise of Waqar telling "Ganguly selection was a set back". What India needs in Pakistan is some experienced players who can perform in any sort of pitches against any bowlers like Shoaib and Sami and are capable of scoring runs, getting wickets, and fielding well as well. I think India should put in all the experience "the reason why saurav is been selected" against the Pakistanis in the forthcoming series which will help. Thanks

my dear sandip,
yes it is true that waqar must probably mind his business. but i am amazed at your wonderful knowledge of cricket, both current and past. really how much of it do u follow ? and u say that ganguly's 'experience' will be useful? the only experience that he has is how not to play the short ball, how not to run in the field and so on. just look at him when the rest of the team is around...looks like a damn mortuary!! pls refresh yourself, and for heavens sake look objectively instead of fanatically defending a guy who has become so pathetic of late! i am sure u have a very short memory but u choose it to be long when u so wish! toronto???that was almost 7 years ago man! and if u think ganguly currently is what he was then, you need to get your head examined! how long do u want such people to be in the team for 'experience'? till deserving youngsters like yuvraj become grandfathers?? maybe,we should call back polly umrigar, gaekwad, gavaskar and kapil dev too. then we will have all the experience we need in pakistan! and remember it was dravid that won the series for us last time round with ganguly making a last ditch appearance to save himself from the axe!!
