Sachin's withdrawl from the team is surprising...if it were against a strong team like Australia or England his withdrawl would have been justified because Sachin is known for withdrawing against stronger teams....but here he had to play against a meek Zimababwe he could have played and piled up tons of runs and improved his personal records....

Hi Harish As you think, if Sachin is pulling out against stronger oppositions, then I suggest please have a look at these statistics then you will know the answer yourself and since you have specifically mentioned Australia and England, I am presenting below the stats for these countries, please have a closer look at the AVERAGE figure. Agaist Australia (Tests) Matches 21 Runs 1859 Highest Score 241* Average 53.11 100's 7 50's 7 Against England (Tests) Matches 16 Runs 1683 Highest Score 193 Average 76.50 100's 6 50's 8 Hope this will clarify all your doubts about Sachin's abilities.
