Dravid started his Captaincy journey by removing Ganguly. To stop the chance of Gambir and Suresh Raina he opted for Karthik (Why Second Wicket keeper?). To keep kumble out he opted for Pawar(unfortunately not succeeded). But given only one chance to kumble. Pathan was scrapped as "not in form" who succeeded in every chance given as trial.
