Dear All,

I do not know how many of you would agree with me. These are my personal views. i am also terribly upset like the 1 billion people. We indians are highly emotional and we forget the mistakes too very quickly. Yet the team has given us a wonderful opportunity to revive our cricket. We should not take any emotional actions based on the recent debacle. Any action we take should be in the interest of all the one billions fans who inspite of the team's failure continue to support once we come back to normal. Our actions should ensure that we do not get ourselves in the same position in the future. From the outset, we all are upset with the performance of the coach, captain and other senior players. It is time for BCCI to use their heads and not their hearts in taking a decision and arriving at an action plan for the future. Remember, India is the only team which plays more number of matches and this would definitely have a toll on the team. Moreover, the kind of pressure our players/coach go through no other teams go thru (including aus). Changes has to be made and youngseters has to be groomed, but experience should also be there. Remember a new foreign coach would also take his own time to adjust to our culture and the pressure on him would also be high and would definitely take time to deliver. It is better Greg has to be told very clearly that if he does not perform in the next one yr or so, he would have to go. also appoint another foreigner as an assistant coach so that the transition is smooth in case if greg fails, like how the aussies have done. By doing so he would not take time to settle. He would have experience and would have a fair understanding of the culture and system. Sachin has been taking pressure for the last 19 yrs. He might not have been a match winner for us. but his contribution to indian cricket cannot be forgotten. By giving him some rest, he would definitely be able to serve indian cricket for the next 2 to 3 yrs or so. We need seniors to groom youngsters. Remember all the current seniors had someone to groom and guide them. I still belive by appointing an indian coach, we would not go anywhere.

My team would be:

Dravid
Sachin
Saurav
Yuvraj
Kaif
Raina
Zaheer
D.Karthik
Dhoni
Sreesanth
Munaf
Pow ar
Piyush Chawla
(keep an eye on top performers in the domestic side and include them in India A side) and send them to tours like bangladesh, where the so called seniors can play domestic matches or can go back to NCA to correct any faults if they have or can take rest for more serious challenges ahead of us.
