I still cant believe that we are out of WC07. But what went wrong? My takes:
1. Dravid may be a dedicated cricketer, but may not be a good captain. Sometimes he looks meek, cowed. When he set into field probably he always find him in a one-man battle. It has a reason, when no one supports u and u can not engage ppl in a right way
2. Stardom and Cricket, can never go hand in hand. A player should be treated as just a player.
3. Selection based on perfermance, not experience. 5 years ago, U may be a gr8 batsman, so what, U dont perform now, so there is no reason u be in the team.
4. We are bored to see old gricket geeks like SRT, sehwag, dravid, gang, Bhaji.
Lets bring some new faces, let give some chance to new talents, who cares if we dont win next WC, but atleast we change the static customism in the game into fluent dynamism..
