Indian Cricket

"Assumption is the mother of all screw ups"...so goes the saying. Thats what india faced. Assuming that Bangladesh is beatable. I for one still beleive that Bangladesh is beatable but on its day Bangladesh is deadly. They did beat Pakistan in the one of the world cups which provoked Akram to say...." We lost to our brothers..we are happy they won". Only god should save Bangladesh in their next sereis against India ...becos India will maul them.

Comming to the Indian team I personally beleive that the following needs to be done:

1. Choose a captain who can lead the team from front and not buckle under pressure. He neccessarily need not be the best player in the team..He needs to treat every game like war..seething with a passion to win....remember Mike Brearley of England.

2. Sachin, Ganguly, Kumble and Dravid need to be rested and brought back only if they are 100% fit. They have stopped working hard for the money..train the not for cricket but for a cammando attack...like what the special forces go thro...

3. Stop hiring coaches from other countries..Rememeber the saying in Hindi..Ghore chaklegaye lekin Ghulami nahi gaya..we still hang on to foreign coaches. Does not India have good former cricketers who can coach the team.Stop picking stupid white coaches..they have no vision..

4. Pay on performance...performance as in every match..ban all cricketers from promoting brands..and if they have to, then BCCI should be paid 50% of the royalty the players get.

5. Before every sereis the players need to go thro a through business like analysis about what is expected of them. they have to be exposed the basic skills of management which will get in them a spirit of competitiveness..

6. Playing in Ranji trophy should be made mandatory for every test player..playing in English clubs should be made mandatory..

7.Keep them on pins and needles ... dont allow them top take for granted their position in the team...

this should work
