India plays defensinve cricket
by NextPrez on Mar 26, 2007 08:28 PM

The blame should lie on the coach and the captain. We have seen India always plays defensive cricket, in bating, bowling and fielding all three. Bowlers waith for the batsman to make a mistake, batters wait for the loose ball to score and fielders sleep, that's we lost all matches against the Windies this year.

They start playing offense only against Bermuda, Nambibia or Kenya. Now even Bangladesh is out of that group.

If this style of playing or coaching continues than India can not win any championships. There is no place for defensive cricket nowadays. We have to play cricket like scoring 8/over or our bowlers looking threatening to get quick wickets.

Study how Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka or Bangladesh plays.
