Batting: 1) Ability to hit the ball above hip level, keeping it on the ground all the way. 2) Good technique on outside the off stump. No one is good in the current team 3) Good sweeping technique, currently the balls are popping to square leg. 4) Try and compete with Aussies and SA in batting. 5) Back lift should be more like Yuvraj or Lara. It comes with extreme confidence to hit the ball.
Bowling: 1) Line should always be one side of the stumps (offside). They look like minnows when they bowl on both sides of the stumps. They keep targeting stumps. 2) length should be automatic. They should not adjust it during the match. 3) Should have considerable bounce and speed. No swing required. White ball, Seem, pitch and weather will add the required swing. 4) Spinners should have maximum spin on the ball like Murali. Very positive attitude, good batting and fielding are compulsory.
Fielding: 1) Expert catching. All 5 batsmen should be very good fieders and should field with in 30 yards. 2) Consistent hitting at the wickets. 3) Improve diving skills.
Did not find any of these in the current team. Its not rocket science to impart these skills. Do not rely on the domestic tournaments. There in domestic cricket, bowlers keep bowling to the wicket, which does not encourage batsmen suitable to international cricket.
