Itz not easy coaching any of the subcontinental teams which includes India,Pakistan,Sri lanka and even Bangladesh.Coaching bangladesh might not have been a dangerous job till now but from hereon the expectations of bangladesh fans will increase and they expect a win each time they play India,so coaching bangladesh will also be not so easy job for anyone.
Anybody planning to take up Coach's job in the subcontinent should be aware of the fact that there will be tremendous pressure on himself than on the players to get the results,well i think coach is as good as the team's mental strength,all he needs is to instill self belief like the way Dave Whatmore did with Sri Laknka in 96 and doing with bangaldesh now.I dont think Indian and Pakistani players require any technical coaching(except for the minor ones),what they require is good three rounds of counselling before the match(this is where Whatmore scores over others).My suggestion for those who intend to take up the hot seat is to ask for a Psychologist and a Counsellor as permanent support staff along with him.My heartfelt condolences to Bob's family!!!
