Chappel Says Ganguly Deserves a Good Farewell Written by Rasesh Thursday, 11 May 2006 Soon after the warning issued to Virender Sehwag by the BCCI comes another controversy. Now its the coach Greg Chappel talking about the former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly. In an interview with Zee, Chappel said that that Ganguly deserved a good farewell and labelled him as a 'wonderful player'. He also stated that the selection of the former captain was upto the selection commitee and he only has a small role to play. Greg also said that media was unnecessary hyping the issue, that is dead and burried. Now lets see what the BCCI will do after these comments, did Chappel mean Ganguly's career is over by saying 'he deserves a good farewell'. Well the matter is open for controversy! This is what greg said in may 2006 and after colliding with Kiran through cricket academy scandal which was swept under the carpet by BCCI as usual.
