His comments against Chappel are too little too late
by S Narain on Apr 22, 2007 10:28 PM

Sir Gavaskar's comments are too late ,it is like when Rome was burning Nero was playing music(same as when Indian cricket has being burnt by Chappel/BCCI ,he was too busy with other things)

Chappel has already destroyed the team. It was clear he was creating division in the team in the name of Junior Vs Senior, mindless experimentation and leaking E mails to media.
During all this period Sir Gavaskar should have raised his voice.People would have taken his words as authentic, now even if it is true ,it sounds a more of diplomatic exercise. Particularly ,the way BCCI is behaving ,it is prepostorous to believe that he was not aware of all the wheelings & dealing going on in BCCI.
The fundamental fact is that BCC is the most corrpt body worse than even criminals and is more responsible than Chappel. Even criminals would not dare do what BCCI is openinly doing i.e raping openly the Indian cricket in full public view and bring disgrace to country.
This is what Sir Gavaskar should point out,if he has any genuine concern for Indian cricket ( & not just Maharastra). he was more identified as Indian legend than only from Mumbai. This would wash his so many acts of ommissions & commissions, including this one ( commenting rightly ,but too late when Indian cricket has been destroyed by Chappel at the behest of BCCI.
