Goodbye Greg
by sp on Apr 04, 2007 08:13 PM

The problem with India is that we are never used to a face off. We like to beat around the bush. Chappell gets straight to the point and we are not able to face it. Chappell is a very good coach but if he is not considered a team memmber by the Indian team and try to make their own decision , there's nothing much left to say. Everyone talks about the 1983 World cup and everyone chants 1983..1983...1983... , Open your eyes and think abt team Australia who have won it 3 times in a row and hopefully their 4th time this year. In My Opinion . India has not won fully on its own merit in the 1983. Remember in 1983 , in a later series , India was beaten badly by the WI in the series that was played. How do you expect a whole team to be out of form ? Its a shame to say so. One or two players may be out of form but the fact that any 11 member that are supposed to play in the world cup go out of form quickly suggests the quality of players that we have. We have thrown mud on ourselves literally.Indian coaches are not good enough for the team and any other foreign coach would think twice before coaching India considering what has happened. we will have 20 people making decisions for the team and the very motive of playing is killed. How long before the Indian team gets into form is another unanswered question. Should India even play cricket is for the other users to decide, in the meanwhile goodbye greg ,we will miss you.
