Chappel
by Manoj Joseph on Apr 05, 2007 03:06 PM

It's indeed good that Chappel has resigned. In fact, team India consisting so many stars does not deserve a hard fighting, outspoken, Chappel. But, I don't understand where was Tendulkar for all these two years keeping silent about his unhappiness about Chappel. If Chappel was wrong, he should have gone to BCCI much before. If the players were having any kind of discomfort under Chappel, they should have approached the BCCI with their grievences. Not after a pathetic show in the worldcup. It is very evident that these senior pros are counter attacking Chappel as he is straight forward and giving a strong report to BCCI which may eventually force them to loose their position in the team. Now, these senior players (Tendulkar, Ganguly, Sehwag, Zaheer, Harbhajan, etc.) are afraid that they may face the axe due to their poor show and attitude, so collectively they planned this outburst to the media thru Tendulkar, thanks to his psuedo-image and demi-god status. It's all corrupted. A team consisting 5 batsmen having average of more than 40 could win only one match in a major tournament and advance to the next stage and now coming up with claiming that the coach was not right! Shame on them! Tendulkar is a national Cheater! Ganguly is another one, who just wanted to score runs only to secure his place in the team. Throw these two and Sehwag out of the team and all those non-performing players.. We will start winning. Should we send our A team for world cup, the result could have been much better.
Regards, Manoj Joseph, Dubai
