Let me bring some funny aspects. We do have age wise teams in India and people rarely get a chance to be noticed once they are beyond an age say 24. Its difficult to make into India Team beyond 25 if its not a come back 2 Coaching policies: We do have funny local coaches at times. I remember a person in our college who used to turn the ball so much that Muttiah Muralitharan was impressed when he came to play a local match. In the same match Murali bowled a lot the our poor guy was only given 2 overs and he got a wicket or so but discontinued. He told me that his coach asked him to bowl medium pace and later he lost his gift of spinning the ball 3. Look at streets we have good people playing there. I remember a 12 year old boy in Bangalore. He used to get late swing with express pace of his age. He lives in the police quaters, catch him young, he will be 14 now 5. Over emphasis on seniors: Look at history every Indian cricketer past 34 was a joke ( Exception Amarnath) It happened for Gavaskar, Kapil, Vishwanath, Shasthri. I remember Shastri struggling to tim,e the ball in SA and Kapil bowling wides in Hero Cup. So lets understand that we start young and leave young and Indian living standards will not give the endurance of a Western Life
