Gentlemen, it really hurts. I would not have minded losing to England, Holland, Denmark or Sweden but losing to a Slav nation really hurts.
The Wehrmacht did not conquer Zagreb this time, but that is the character of Germany - to come back in the face of adversity. We have done it many times and we will do it again. Even when we were losing World War II, we beat the allied forces at Monte Cassino and had a heroic defence at the Ardennes. We also ensured our Finnish allies defeated the Red Army in 1944. We also defeated the 'operation market garden' in 1944 over Arnhem.
So Germany is not down and out yet. We will not surrender and if we meet Portugal in the semi finals, we will defeat them and send Cristiano Ronaldo packing. Yesterday was an off day and we did not play well. But Germany has come back from these situations and we will return. Europe beware of the sprit of the Wehrmacht and Waffen SS.
