He is ranked 11th in the world. I think that is pretty good. He may not reach within the top 5. But he can continue at this level for some time. His game is different from that of Tim. Tim was one of the last genre of players whose game revolved around serve and volley.
Nevertheless I think one should not judge performance only by clay courts. Only about 25% of the matches through out the year are played on clay. The remaining 75% is on grass and hard courts.
