First World Champion in India
by rajeev sharma on Oct 23, 2007 11:01 AM

Dravid has got his facts wrong - Anand is NOT the First World Champion in India!!! That honour belongs to Mr. Wilson Jones, who won Billiards World Championship way back in 1957. Mr. Jones is recognised as first ever world champion from India in ANY sport - whether individual or team!!!
May be he meant First World champion from India in Chess!!!
