When i heard the news yesterday that Sania had lost in her second round just like millions of tennis fans, i too was upset. Its disheartening that we have only one tennis women's player in india who is in the top 50 of womens tennis but she keeps losing early. See, if she wins we are pumped up and dream of an Indian winning a grandslam and idolise them. But really, the problem is not this. This is Sania's 3rd year in the circuit. She has 1 billion hopes, similar to what Sachin had during the late 90s. I think its high time that Indians realise that and be a bit more patient. She's 20 and the only hope India has for the next 5 years. After that its doomsday with the amount of competition. So its high time the authorities take note of the situation and give Sania the best incentives to work on. Like invest. Invest on clay courts in india attract investors invest on a good coach, form an association with her as the ambassdor for sport etc. But i admit time is slowly but surely running out. We dont want her to lose in 1st rounds and 2nd. The goal is to make her the best and do what it takes to motivate her, do whatever and make her reach 1 QF in a Grand Slam. Then i think she can climb the ladder without any help. Its too early to make any conclusions but Patience is imp from fans and the next two Ps are in Sania's hands. Ultimately she will reap all the benefits. But only time will tell. Cheers.
