Lee, I disagree! Im not going to say Beckham is the best player in the world but he is certainly far better than a "very ordinary footballer".
His performance in the last few games for Real Madrid was fantastic and has given Real their 1st honest chance to win the Spanish league in the last few years.
Also yesterday against Brazil, he was certainly the best english player on the field. He may not be a great entertainer like Zidane or Kaka but he has certainly earnt his position in the Real team or English team
