I was unaware of the difference between a burkha and a Hijaab. As embarassed as I am to admit how little I know about Islam, I was shocked to read some of the really bigoted comments posted on this site. Terrorism or religious fundamentalism doesn't have to do with religion at all... it's just a bunch of unreasonable people who want to disrupt democratic processes. Even if the west likes to portray islam as a religion that preaches terror... we, in India , with the second largest muslim population in the world, cannot be excused for towing the same line as them.
The rise of islamist fundamentalism is NOT an excuse for maligning islam. I'm really disturbed by the kind of rabid comments I read in people's posts!!It's truly distasteful!!
