Hi - somehow on reading this article as well as lot of previous text written about Sania does not inspire adulation- the modesty element seems so grossly missing. We should all be proud that she has reached 42nd rank in ATP circuit and that she is improving but then trying to justify a dismal loss as saying that the fans should accept the way she plays does not augur well for Sania widely regarded as the role model for youth in India. She could have attempted to draw vital lessons from her loss to Sharapova rather than justifying the way she played. This would have shown her maturity and also reinforce the fact that she is in a learning curve and is trying to learn. As a stark contrast, Sharapova is her post match conference praised Sania by saying that she has been championing the cause of tennis in her country. That is what we call graceful winner (and we must remember Sharapova is 6 months younger to Sania). All I can say at the end is that sania should keep trying hard but realise the fact that she should serve as a role model for the game in her country.
