Learn from history
by on May 27, 2008 07:57 AM

3rd battle of panipat. Superor Marathi forces under Sadashivrao Bhao lost to Afghan warlord , Ahmed Abdali Durrani and his highly depleted army. Reason: The Marathis never sought alliance with the various North Indian armies but instead sought to fight and subjugate them. The Afghanis had many alliance with the North Indian jats that saved them.
Result: The marathas lost heavily. Delhi fell to the Afghans who pillaged, looted and raped North India. Over 100,000 hindus were killed in Delhi in a single day.
all i can say is that history repeats itself today
