Why do u think Salman Rushdie, against whom a fatwa was issued in Iran had to go into hiding in distant England where different sets of laws prevail as to murdering a fellow human being? Why the Japanese translator and Danish translators of the book were butchered in countries where laws were different from Iran's.The allegiance is trans-national; it respects no borders, no laws but their own.This is an obvious fact. We shd acknowledge it and proceed to safeguard our fellow citizens' lives.
