The constituency from which the officers and other ranks hail,is now aware of the opportunities for a educated person with atleast average capabilities across the corporate world in a democratic state and is not willing to sacrifice his entire life in the performance of hazardous duties in un-congenial environment, deprived of the fundamental rights a citizen enjoys in a free country when his self esteem is compromised. The present officer cadre despite feeling revulsion when they are treated inhumanly by their superiors, fail to learn a lesson when they come to occupy the seats of command and control and repeat the same mistakes that their seniors committed. Thus the colonial system continues and each officer is frustrated and looking for the day when he will be able to get out and feel the freshness of air outside.Corruption, personal vendetta, victimisation, favourtism and nepotism are so widely
