Simple calculation...

All you need is 35% popular vote to get majority in the parliament.
-18% minority guarunteed (by extreme apeasement)
-2% voter manipulations
-10% chamchas for mere self-interest
-5% simply buy them out using national wealth.

On the top
-Let more illegal infiltrate from Bangladesh etc. It will change it up from 18% to higher.
-Manipulate caste frictions thru reservation & other means so you can increase voter manipulation up from 2%
-Loot the people more & deposit in the foreign banks so they also have reason to support you to stay in power. And more wealty you are more you can buy the votes.
-As they see you more successful more will decide to be your chamchas

Only in India. I have come across people from 3rd world countries in Africa who laugh at Indians in this matter.
