Basically there is a tussle between Congress and NCP on which is stronger party. This started from the last election when NCP got more MLAs than Congress. But Congress grabbed CM post by offering Minister post for Pawar in centre. Still the struggle continued on who is the stronger party.
Congress took away Narayan Rane & a few MLAs from SS, and thus achieved more MLAs than NCP.
(Remember NCP had taken away Chagan bhujbal from SS earlier.)
Congress and NCP are planning to use Raj to take away votes from Shiv Sena. So, Raj is the VVIP wooed by both Congress and NCP.
