Raghavan, You have lost intellectual capacity to think when you compare Kashmir/Assam etc. to Tibet. By doing that you have also lost your patriotic credentials. Tibet was a buffer between the rogue China and a democratic India. And you want China to "have it's cake and eat it too". How about writing for India's interests for a change, where you write what India will gain or loose b following a aprtivular policy.
The least India could have done at this point in this whole Tibet mess is to condemn Chinese brutality, filthy language use for Dalai Lama and prod them to talk. Of course, best and just outcome for everyone is an independent Tibet. But then.....
