No point in pursuing the case: Scarlett's mother
by Nirpinder Singh on Mar 22, 2008 04:44 PM

It is a sad state of affairs indeed if any person Indian or Foreign feels unsafe anywhere in India. All concerned Indians hope that Fiona will press forth her demand for a thorough investigation into her daughter's death. It must be disappointing for her to learn that her daughter did indeed take drugs and alcohol as well. However her situation is the same as many parents in all nations of the World. It is not easy to keep track of young persons. A parent's responsibility is to never slacken their vigilance. Fiona should now plan for the future of her other children. Given the tardy response of the State Government it would be good if she were to shift her residence outside Goa even. Let us all hope that good sense prevails among the higher echelons of Government and a thorough investigation takes place.
