Hi, If you read this interview properly it implies the thanksgiving to India. He praise the india. His concern is more about his motherland i.e. Tibet. That's obvious and natural. Mentioning himself as Refugee means he do not want to take any undue advantage of indian soil.
I do visited 'Bailukuppe', Madekeri. It's simply superb & magnificent monestry. The people of Madedkeri was helpful and peaceful. I really enjoy my stay at Coorg.
