RE:Population control is folly?
by Manjula A on Mar 24, 2008 11:49 AM

Well, you should look at Bangalore and Chennai and understand the difference. In Bangalore, there are too many pubs, discos etc and there are too many people from outside Karnataka. The result is that even the local Kannadigas who are otherwise quite moralistic, after indulging with the north-Indians also engage in promiscuity. But in Chennai, there are people from outside but an indiscriminate growth of pubs and discos has been prevented, instead there are libraries and temples. The rare discos that are, usually contain only North Indians, Christians or Brahmins. Tamil non-brahmins are virtually absent from such places. And thus the culture and morality of the locals stands maintained.
