It is like forcing a son/daughter in law to live in a joint family. I am sure just as nuclear famillies are replacing joint families so will there be small independednt countries. You can not just hold them up by force or they will always be a perennial bleeding wound. The matter can be resolved either by China winning the hearts of Tebetans by ensuring equity, democracy and peace. If they cannot protect human rights and provide a conducive environment for preservation of unique culture of Tibet,Tibetans have every right to seek independence and preserve their culture.
