for that matter even in indian history, there were many independent kingdoms. going by ur terms, maharashtara, Rajasthan Tamilnadu, Andhra etc.. has its own history of independent nations even today they have their own language, culture and identity still maintained. siting their identity will you agree if they demand an independent nation toady after Republic of India has formed.
