Who are Muslims hero?

Those who invaded India, destroyed temples, looted, raped women.....
NOT THOSE WHO STOOD AGAINST THE INVADERS.
I once asked my Mexican friend do they treat Cortez who invaded and destroyed Mexico as a hero?
He said, no Cortez is NOT a hero to Mexico. And they are respectful to Pre-Spanish past.
