We have heard a number of incidents involving british tourists in Goa.It is a shame.Britain has given shelter to millions from the Indian sub-coninent and yet we have not heard of any South asians raped in UK.It was the otherway round an indian truck driver raped and murdered a young girl there.Fortunately the culprit was caught and handed over to them. India must pursue this case vigouresly and give justice to the family.Another aspect to be seen is how did a minor girl come all alone to India?Dont we have any system to check movement of people.Goa has become a den for criminals and drug peddlers.This is a national security matter and central intelligence agencies must keep a close watch.We must also review our policy of opening the door for all visitors without having any control on their movement and stay here.A special Tourist Police under central govt is an urgent need.
