Meghalaya having borders with Bangladesh and Assam as well as affected by terrorism,needs a stable government for next five years.Since incumbency was a major factor in the just concluded assembly poll and there is a hung legislature,political parties should unitedly provide a coaltion government based on a common minimum programme to ensure the poor state's socio-economic progress. -P K Chakravarty From Delhi -110091
