human life is supreme, monotheism must take a back seat
by Pradip Parekh on Mar 08, 2008 03:35 AM

this case is really not so bad. surely some one can come up with a design of helmet that can go over the turban and keep these good folks in good humor. the discrimantion would be if the helmet companies refuse to come out with a good design for the sikhs.

every time there has been a contest between human life and monotheist-religious rights the former has won out in western courts - like it should be; and unlike in indian courts where things are upside down, stacked up against the voice of reason, which means voice of the hindus, of course.

eg, the western courts have ruled against the monotheist prents' refusal to let their children receiving blood transfusion. another one is a catholic pharmacist's religious-refusal to dispense birth control pills to a patient. or a muslim cabbie refusing a ride to alcohol toting (not drinking) passengers. monos are fighting a losing battle against progressing world as hubble telescope has proved that heavenly father and alla - along with the trillions of dead monotheists - no longer occupy any space in the skies.
